Pregnancy Week 18 & 19: Quad Screening, Scary Moment and Maternity Styling!

Hi Everyone!
I can't believe it's already into week 19 of my pregnancy. I remember my 2nd pregnancy going by kind of fast, but this seems really fast. I guess ask me again when I'm like 8 months lol. Like I said in the video, I haven't had time or the energy to do my vlog on Maternity Fashion. I really want to do it and I have all the outfits picked out. It just takes a long time to create the actual video when you are doing it by yourself. I just might have to enlist my husband to help me. In the meantime I did put together some of my favorite pieces I got (see below for the Maternity Styling section!!
Next week I have my 20 week checkup with my doctor. I assume I will also have to make an appointment to get the big ultrasound done soon after that. That ultrasound is always the most fun because at this point the baby is big enough to see a lot of features and CONFIRM the sex of the baby. I always get really good pictures at this ultrasound. The tests they are doing are the Quad Screen Tests. Here is some info from American Pregnancy that can explain it better than I can :)

What does the quad screen test look for?
The quad screen measures high and low levels of AFP, abnormal levels of hCG and estriol, and high levels of Inhibin-A. The results are combined with the mother’s age and ethnicity in order to assess probabilities of potential genetic disorders.
High levels of AFP may suggest that the developing baby has a neural tube defect such as spina bifida or anencephaly. However, the most common reason for elevated AFP levels is inaccurate dating of the pregnancy.
Low levels of AFP and abnormal levels of hCG and estriol may indicate that the developing baby has Trisomy 21(Down syndrome), Trisomy 18 (Edwards Syndrome) or another type of chromosome abnormality.
FALL MATERNITY STYLING
I will be doing a full style video on more outfits, but I at least wanted to get this one out to you :)
I also put styling ideas on my Pinterest page! So check that out if you want to see more!
The 2 main places I shopped at was Forever21 and Old Navy. I shop online only as I already know my sizing and they usually don't have what I want once I get to the store :p If you don't know how their sizing fits to your body, go on in and try some stuff on to get an estimate of what size you are in. I like to shop Forever21 for their leggings. They are amazing for the entire pregnancy. They have super cute prints. And to my surprise they have a lot of oversized "Boyfriend" sweaters and REALLY cute boots for fall/winter! Yes, I am 34 shopping at Forever21. As long as it fits, is cute and inexpensive...I'm ALL over it :) They are also things I can wear after the baby is born instead of just getting Maternity only clothes. I always find discount codes on retailmenot.com HOWEVER if you use a code it automatically makes your sale FINAL. So be careful if you use a code as an FYI.
Here are some cute things from Forever21 in the video and others I think would make great Mat styling pieces!

The Book I am loving right now is...
Belly Laughs: The Naked Truth about Pregnancy and Childbirth
"Oh, the joys of pregnancy! There's the gassiness, constipation, queasiness, and exhaustion, the forgetfulness, crankiness, and the constant worry. Of course, no woman is spared the discomforts and humiliations of pregnancy, but most are too polite to complain or too embarrassed to talk about them. Not Jenny McCarthy! In the New York Times best-selling Belly Laughs, actress and new mother Jenny McCarthy reveals the naked truth about the tremendous joys, the excruciating pains, and the unseemly disfigurement that go along with pregnancy. Never shy, frequently crude, and always laugh-out-loud funny, McCarthy covers it all in the grittiest of girlfriend detail. From morning sickness and hormonal rage, to hemorrhoids, pregnant sex, and the torture and sweet relief that is delivery, Belly Laughs is must-read comic relief for anyone who is pregnant, who has ever been pregnant, is trying to get pregnant, or, indeed, has ever been born!"

Here are some links where you can get it or read online!

Pregnancy Week 17 & 18 - Ummmmm What is up with my emotions???

Hey everyone!
Sorry this blog/video is late this week. I had a rough weekend and an extra rough day. I really didn't feel like recording today but this is REAL. I can't just film when I'm all happy go lucky. Pregnancy isn't perfect and there are a lot of hormones affecting my mind and all my emotions. I've been pretty good so far, until today. Here is a video in the RAW. No staging and no editing out bad stuff. This is ME....at 17.5 weeks :)

I think I just need some good rest and some time to myself. I've been super crazy cleaning the house but just haven't been taking care of myself. I need to get back to that because it's not benefiting anyone.

Is ANYONE in the same boat? Please Share!!!
