Check out this big dude!!! 5 months old! This is absolutely crazy how fast time goes by....
I have to admit that I'm pretty happy he is growing out of the whole "infant" stage. I'm ready for him to grow up a bit lol. My whole world revolves around his naps, which means that the girls activities are limited. He takes a lot of naps, but doesn't take very long naps. We call it his "Nesta Naps". They are 25min naps that he takes throughout the day. He only sleeps longer than that if we lay down with him and snuggle (or if he's at Grammy's then he will sleep whenever she says so lol). Spoiled much? Yep. He sleeps with his Daddy every night! I think he'll take it because there will obviously come a time when he won't want to sleep with us. His pack n' play is just an extra storage area in his room :p I love sleeping with the kids, but I'm also ready to get him on a schedule that I can continue throughout the day and not have to sleep with him when he sleeps. It's just not going to work once school starts!

This month we decided to let Maikah try a couple solid foods! He's been eating rice cereal and tried bananas the other day. He loves the rice cereal and it seems to help his tummy problems. We were hoping it would help him sleep longer, but that doesn't really seem to be the case. I'm excited to start making my own baby food. I really enjoyed doing that with Kaya and it sure saves a lot of money. I have a feeling he's going to be a great eater! Check out this pic of Kaya when she was Maikah's age! They look so much alike! I'm going to find one of KoKo too because although she's a lot darker, they still have some of the same features. Damn they are cute!!

All in all, it's been an OK month, but I am so thankful to have him in our lives. I wouldn't trade all the screaming and sleepless hours for anything! This is just a phase and this too shall pass :) I am looking forward to all his "firsts" and I'm so curious to see what kind of little man he's going to be with all these girls in his family! We spend a lot of time with his cousins when it's SO evident that he's the baby. They are all so good to him and helpful! He had his first sleepover at Grammy's house and big cousin Ayla was there to help. Unfortunately, we came to the conclusion that he's just not ready for a sleepover at Grammy's lol. Since he's so spoiled sleeping with Daddy it was hard to have him sleep on his own over there. We'll give it a whirl next month :)

Thanks so much for checking in and reading this blog! I hope you are having a great summer.
Talk soon,
